Well, forget about the treehouse, I don't need it, because Doc and I will soon be moving to the coolest place on Earth. Althought it is true that "A voyage to the Gunkanjima-island is prohibited
currently," it won't be if, as Doc suggested, we BUY it. I think we might have to have a bake sale or something, but I have faith that we will soon be ensconced in our island stronghold with our cats and our consorts and a tank full of sharks with frikkin' laser beams on their heads.

More information about the island is here.

I have wanted to move to Oregon for quite some time, but now I think that I would like to move to Oregon and live in a treehouse. This treehouse. The most beautiful treehouse I have ever seen.
Last night I was feeling sorry for myself because when I was little I wanted to play soccer and my mom wouldn't let me. I would have looked so damn cute in those little socks. Also, I couldn't be a girl scout because my school day ended late, and I never got a strawberry scented strawberry shortcake doll. Although I have one now, so that's okay.

Anyway, I think I might feel a little bit better about the whole thing if I had a $400.00 Takashi Murakami soccer ball. It comes with it's own carrying case.

Love,
Leontine's inner child.

I think I've posted about the subway poem before, but now you can see it!

I've had a cameraphone for quite a while now, but I only just figured out that I can have a cameraphone blog!

I found this drawing of a robot on 47th Street, and I think it is really charming. The colors behind it are nice too.

I've always wanted an overhead projector, and now I -really- do. I could probably even do something cool in my house with a regular slide projector. Both are pretty cheap on eBay and would be useful in my future teaching career. I think kids like it when it's dark in the room and there is something bright for them to look at. I mean, that's what we do in theaters and when we watch movies, so what's up with all the bright overhead lights that just make every little distracting thing visible in the classroom? Is there a theory behind that, or is it just cheap and generic?

Anyway, the reason I want a slide projector right now is that I came across this website and then I found this installation by Kara Walker. How cool would something like this look in my living room?
